Gloria Christian Elementary School 1 enlivened the Heroes' Day which commemorated on November 10th with a ceremony and costumes representing a range of vocations. With the theme "Heroic Spirit for the Nation's Future in Fighting Poverty and Ignorance," Gloria Christian Elementary School 1 invites students to learn about the heroes’ struggles and the spirit of building the nation.
A flag ceremony marked the start of the Heroes' Day celebration. During the ceremony, students were invited to reflect on the struggles of the heroes who were willing to sacrifice for Indonesia's independence. Following the flag ceremony, students took part in various activities related to Heroes' Day. One of the interesting activities was wearing professional costumes. Students were asked to dress professionally for this event, wearing a variety of outfits, such as doctors, police, soldiers, teachers, and others. This activity aims to teach students that they have a wide range of jobs to pick from when they grow up. Apart from that, this activity also aims to instill the patriotic spirit, which is the enthusiasm to build the nation and country.
